Jeez where did this year go? Another weekend bringing us closer to Christmas and the end of this crazy year. This weekend is the weekend of the 1st Advent, so for sure a time to either celebrate by going wild or taking it slow and having a proper chill weekend. To see what’s in store for us during the next three days read our new edition of the HH weekend guide.
The Christmas Markets officially opened their stands last weekend so why don’t you end this week/start Friday evening with a hot Glühwein and some good food at one of the markets in town. Our favorites are on the Ottenserhaupstrasse in Altona, the Osterstrasse in Eimsbüttel and of course the one on the Fleetinsel in the City center. For a modern take on a German Christmas Market check out the Winter Garden in front of the Rindermarkthalle in St. Pauli.
In case you are still looking for some Christmas present ideas (who are we kidding I don’t have a single present yet, you?) check out the Folkdays & Friends Pop-Up the first fair concept store in Hamburg opening this weekend from 14:00 to 20:00 @ Âme Nue Schaarsteinwegsbrücke 2, 20459 Hamburg, Germany. From different clothing items, to decor and make-up you’ll surely find something nice for your loved ones here.
Warm, fuzzy Cashmere items for a good price can be found at the Cashmere Products Sample Sale. Shop hats, scarfs, jumpers and more on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 to 20:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to 14:00 @ Briese Lightingsystem & Studios Semperstraße 28-30, 22303 Hamburg, Germany.
Saturday let’s play
Start your Saturday with a good breakfast. Paledo in Eppendorf serves trendy, healthy and delicious Acai Bowls filled with antioxidants which will give you energy and yes of course make you look young and beautiful ;).
Stop by Lebeleicht, our new juicery in town after, to pick up a fresh juice to keep you going through the day. Our favorite: Happy Bee with ginger and bee pollen for guaranteed happiness 🙂 simply delicious!
After you refueled you can continue with some treasure hunting at the Hamburg Art Hall flea market from 10:00 to 18:00 or vintage furniture shopping at the newly opened The Vintage Store in Eppendorf. Also the yearly Holy Shit Shopping Market is in town again this Saturday and Sunday. For when, what and where info click here.
Time to Play! Party with Lexy & K-Paul at the Übel & Gefährlich or celebrate the end of Movember with a proper stach (don’t worry girls stach for the guys only – unless…) at the Superbude St. Pauli. At the Prinzenbar Docks you can celebrate autumn with a whole set of Djs. More info here.
Cheviche Thursday at the Kleines Phi has ended but this weekend is your chance to once again have a taste of the delicious food prepared by the boys of Salt & Silver. This December the Schankwirtschaft has started a new great Sunday anti-hangover initiative – the Open Kitchen Project. This Sunday is taco time! Don’t worry you can sleep in. You can get your taco treat from 12:00 till 20:00. All the Open Kitchen Project events for the upcoming Sundays can be found on Facebook.
